Principal Risk Advisor

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Risk Advisor to provide senior specialist advice, analysis, and partnership with stakeholders. This role will influence risk strategy and operationalize it in line with the organization's Governance and Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies. The successful candidate will manage projects, engage with stakeholders, investigate and report on risk and compliance matters, and offer informed recommendations.
Key Responsibilities: Apply specialist risk knowledge to develop and maintain operational and strategic risk registers.Oversee and enhance the Risk Management and Compliance Framework, ensuring it aligns with organizational requirements.Engage with stakeholders to raise awareness and embed risk management processes.Lead the development of systems for risk identification, monitoring, and reporting.Facilitate risk workshops and ensure risk mitigation strategies are implemented.Provide expert advice on risk management services across the organization.Deliver risk framework reporting processes and manage relationships with vendor partners to optimize risk information systems.Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in governance, risk, and/or compliance.Proven success in providing technical advice and implementing risk frameworks in large, complex organizations.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Desirable Attributes: Expertise in operational risk assessments and reporting.Leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams and driving business improvements.Extensive experience in producing complex compliance reports and business cases for senior management.Job Title: Principal Risk Advisor

Rate: $60.00-65.77ph + super
Contract Duration: ASAP start - 9 month contract
