Your Role: As the Principal Regulatory Officer you will:
Support the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority by consistently and fairly applying relevant early childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation, standards, policies and guidelines in the regulation of the ECEC sector within the context of the Regulating for Quality policy.Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including ECEC providers and services to achieve regulatory outcomes.The Principal Regulatory Officer reports to the Manager, Regulation, Metro North Region.Responsibilities include:
Undertaking complex regulatory activities, making recommendations and decisions that support the Regulatory Authority to undertake its functions under the legislation and in accordance with the principles of good administrative decision making.Utilising extensive high level investigation skills and experience, undertake complex investigations relating to alleged breaches of the Education and Care Services National Law and RegulationsIdentifying and understanding risk, compliance and quality trends through analysing and monitoring data captured from a range of sources and regulatory systems.Applying effective record keeping practices and using regulatory systems to capture accurate and timely data, and regularly monitoring and reviewing data quality.Providing expert advice that is consistent, accurate and timely to support the Regulatory Authority leadership team and external stakeholders including regulated ECEC providers and services, the general public and other agencies.About You: The successful applicant will have the following qualities:
Experience as a regulator, including consistent operation at key standards guided by understanding of legislation and policy frameworks.Proven ability to develop team objectives and achieve results.Commitment to continuous improvement through analysis of data, skills in leading change and developing innovative solutions.Develops self and others through a strengths based approach.Mandatory requirements: Current Blue Card
