Queensland's court services are a crucial and fundamental cornerstone of civil society. As the Queensland courts undergo a period of transformation and reform, the Principal Project Officer (Training) role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of these changes. The Evidence Services Unit within Court Services Queensland is responsible for establishing a Sexual Offence Expert Evidence Panel (EEP) for sexual offence proceedings as per recommendation 80 of the Women's Safety and Justice Taskforce Hear her voice: Report two. The Principal Project Officer (Training) will be responsible for developing and delivering internal and external training, contributing to development of procedural guidelines and supporting implementation of the pilot program in Brisbane and Townsville.

The Supreme, District and Land Courts Service sits within the Courts and Tribunals Division of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General and provides administrative support and registry services to the judiciary and court users in Queensland. As the Principal Project Officer (Training) your key responsibilities will be to:
• Develop and implement training program for experts on the Sexual Violence Expert Evidence Panel (Panel);
• Develop an online training platform with a focus on interaction with existing legislation, including policy and procedural guidelines;
• Support recruitment of Panel members;
• Provide quality facilitation of training and timely program support as directed by the Program Manager of the pilot program;
• Liaise with stakeholders, including the peak professional bodies and the Panel Steering Committee, the judiciary, senior management and other relevant agencies to monitor and analyse emerging issues and trends in relation to this reform; and
• Participate in business planning for the continuation of the pilot program through to evaluation stage; and
• Prepare authoritative reports, documents, presentations, executive briefs and correspondence as required.
