The Queensland Police Service (QPS) Health and Wellbeing Division is responsible for providing a range of health and wellbeing services to QPS members and their families.
The Division is also responsible for increasing awareness and knowledge, reducing stigma, and providing support to foster positive workplaces.
The Health and Wellbeing Division employs a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to improving individual wellbeing.
Services provided under this framework include internal support options, such as Peer Support Officers, HealthStart, Injury Management Advisors and Specialists, Human Services Officers, Chaplains, Alcohol and Drug Testing, and the Psychological Assessment Unit, as well as external confidential support options, including EITP, SelfRefer, and external EAP.
The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are: Provide expert advice, support, and guidance to leadership teams, stakeholder groups, and program and project teams in support of deliverables.Lead and manage assigned program and project activities using contemporary program and project management frameworks, methodologies, and policies.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the QPS and partner agencies to deliver initiatives in accordance with Division objectives.Provide strategic direction and recommendations in the planning, delivery, and support of programs and projects, including policy alignment, change management, communications, stakeholder engagement, expenditure, staff development, and counselling.Provide guidance to stakeholders that facilitates informed business decisions, improves business processes, and meets changing business needs.Develop and implement change management and communications initiatives that complement business improvements.Monitor and evaluate the progress of work deliverables, initiatives, and business support priorities.Role Requirements: The successful applicant will be initially located at 30 Makerston Street, Brisbane within the QPS Health & Wellbeing Division.This position's key accountabilities and functional reporting structure may change if various functions of the Health & Wellbeing Division are realigned to maximise service delivery.The position may be required to work with other capabilities within the QPS on occasions to support other organisational project team members and will be undertaken in consultation with the successful applicant.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
