The Principal Project Officer (Horizon Scanning) supports the early identification of new and emerging health technologies to better inform investment decisions for Queensland Health. In this role you will identify emerging trends and new developments that have a tangible impact on clinical outcomes and patient benefits and describe how new and emerging health technologies can integrate with the Queensland public healthcare system. Through this you will identify future healthcare needs and proactively investigate technology solutions, recognising opportunities to transform Queensland Health capability to deliver world class services and treatments and develop strategies that support health service planning.
The successful person You will have demonstrated:
Knowledge and understanding of the different types of health technologies and the requirements for implementation and integration into healthcare.Experience working within a healthcare environment or clinical setting or exposure to clinical trials and/or clinical research.Broad understanding of patient flow, treatment, models of care and models of service delivery.Ability to identify, comprehend and distil key information from multiple sources into reports that inform executive level decisions.About us The Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
