Position: Operations-Based LeaderThe South-East Queensland Region of Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships (QPWS&P) is seeking an operations-based leader to help support and guide the region in taking practical steps to build and nurture partnerships with First Nation's peoples—particularly towards cooperative park and forest management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the rights and interest of First Nations Peoples and be able to balance and integrate these interests with the day to day planning and operations of QPWS&P senior managers and rangers.
You will also provide the region with expert guidance on operationalising cultural heritage management and Native Title matters and have a passion for shared stewardship of our parks and forests. You will work with other regional leaders to improve operational working protocols, procedures and initiatives to advance cooperative park management, including fire, pest, asset and visitor management and incorporating First Nation priorities and perspectives in regional planning and operational decision-making.

About You:Proven leadership skills and a strong understanding of First Nations peoples' rights and interests.
An understanding of park management operations or an ability to integrate First Nations interests in day to day operational decision-making.
An ability to drive and develop new and practical operational guidelines, protocols and procedures that guide decision-making and integrate First Nations interests.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work with both First Nations Peoples, operational rangers and senior managers.
