The Liquor and Gaming Branch provides advice to government on liquor and gaming policy and supports the Commissioner for Licensing and the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission in their regulatory functions under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 and the Gaming Control Act 1993 . The branch also collects gaming taxes and forecasts gaming revenue for the State Budget.
