Talk to us about what flexibility may look like for you.Period of AppointmentAppointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for two (2) years.DutiesProvide high level assistance to the Manager Passenger Transport Policy to undertake project and procurement management work in relation to the transition to zero emission buses.Undertake research and technical analysis of complex passenger transport policy issues, and develop proposals and recommendations for consideration, including in relation to the zero emission bus transition.Contribute to legislative reviews and maintenance to ensure appropriate regulatory settings for a future-focused passenger transport sector.Provide authoritative advice on national and state passenger transport issues as required, as well as participate and represent the Department at interjurisdictional fora to keep abreast of national developments in this space.Liaise with other staff within the Branch, with external stakeholders, other Government agencies, and other areas of the Department to ensure effective research and analysis on policy issues.Prepare complex correspondence, reports, briefing material as well as Cabinet and legislative materials as required and review policy documents from elsewhere within the Department.A completed tertiary qualification in a field relevant to passenger transport policy.Application ProcessTo apply, please provide a one- to two-page document outlining your experience, skills and knowledge as they relate to the Statement of Duties, and a copy of your current Resumé/CV.Online applications are preferred; please click the blue Apply Now button.
