About your new role
The Principal Planner Roadside Barriers is responsible for the management of our City's existing roadside barrier assets including crash barriers, fences, bollards and guideposts focusing on key objectives such as new installations, data collection, asset register management, renewal program development, provision of maintenance plans and specifications, customer and stakeholder management.

We're looking for people who have:
Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering (Civil Design) or equivalent knowledge excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of conflict management and assertiveness.
well-developed negotiation skills to influence stakeholders, create buy-in and maintain positive stakeholder engagement to ensure overall project success.
demonstrated experience with the development of policies, procedures, network standards, service levels and strategies relating to local government transport asset services.
demonstrated competency to provide specialist advice in relation to contracts, road transport assets management and planning.
demonstrated program management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage capital investment into transport asset networks.
self-motivation and demonstrated initiative, creativity and the ability to foster enthusiasm among fellow staff.
Reliability and constantly works towards achieving individual and team goals.
