About DRA Global
Revolutionise your career with DRA Global Limited (ASX: DRA | JSE: DRA), a leading international engineering, project delivery, and operations management group specialising in the mining, minerals, and metals industry. With a remarkable legacy spanning almost four decades and a global presence across Africa, the Middle East, North and South America, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific, we offer an unparalleled experience for growth and innovation.
About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for an established Principal Structural Engineer or an ambitious Lead Structural Engineer to become a pivotal part of our esteemed team based in Perth. Our team consists of ten highly competent structural engineers, and with our continued success winning large greenfield projects and brownfield upgrades, we are seeking an individual who wants to take on a long-term leadership and mentoring position.
Our leaders running our multi-disciplined engineering and design teams are all very hands-on, and you will be too. However, we work in an innovative and fast-paced, solutions-focused environment, so being a people-person with excellent communication and negotiation skills is just as important.
Our ideal candidate would be technically savvy, good at expressing themselves, self-motivated, and able to manage their own workload plus that of a small project team, from Feed phases through to execution.
Key duties:
Structural design of materials handling and processing facility structures such as conveyors, bins, and hydrometallurgical process plants.
Development of cost-effective designs that are project-appropriate and to the clients' needs.
Provision of technical support and guidance to the drafting team during the preparation of preliminary and detailed design models/documents.
Maintenance and fostering relationships within the DRA structural engineering team, other members of the overall DRA multidisciplinary team, clients, and contractors.
You will have:
Relevant civil/structural degree, ideally with 15+ years of design experience in resources processing or mining.
Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
Proficiency in structural analysis software packages such as Space Gass.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience using advanced analysis tools such as Strand7 would be an advantage.
Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety.
If you are interested but don't think you meet all of the criteria outlined above, we encourage you to still apply. Our structural engineering team includes several highly capable and experienced members who can provide support and guidance to help bridge any skill gaps for individuals who are otherwise well-suited for the role.
We believe in fostering talent and providing opportunities for growth, so if you're motivated and passionate about joining our team, we're committed to helping you succeed.
Here at DRA, we offer:
Competitive and above market salary packages with regular market analysis.
Flexible start and finish times allowing for great work-life balance.
A collaborative and supportive team environment with the tools to succeed.
The opportunity to work alongside engineering and design excellence.
We value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people. We welcome applications from all backgrounds regardless of gender, age, disability, and ethnicity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Our commitment to equal opportunities and a diverse workplace is embodied in our values of People, Safety, Trust, Integrity, Excellence, and Courage.
