Guided by an ethos of integrity, adaptability, and respect, Quattro fosters an environment where innovation thrives, empowering the team to lead in underground mining and paste plant engineering solutions.The RoleThis Principal Mechanical Engineer role is pivotal not only as a technical leader but also as a leader who will help shape Quattro's future direction. You will lead the engineering team while collaborating closely with other business functions to guide strategic growth. In addition to overseeing diverse projects, from product development to processing plants, you will be responsible for reviewing and signing off on technical deliverables, reviewing vendor data and reports, and mentoring the team throughout each project phase. You will champion the development and application of best practices, technical standards, and innovative solutions across the organisation through to successful execution of projects.ResponsibilitiesTechnical and Project Leadership: Oversee the design and development of products, from concept through to major processing plants, leading projects all the way to commissioning.End-to-End Involvement: Manage the entire project lifecycle, including reviewing vendor documentation, providing technical sign-offs, overseeing construction, and troubleshooting operations.Team and Business Leadership: Lead a team of 10 across WA and Queensland while also playing a broader role in business leadership. Mentor engineers at all levels and foster a culture of accountability and respect.Client Engagement: Represent Quattro at industry conventions and enhance client relationships by supporting technical discussions.About YouYou are a Principal Mechanical Engineer who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative, leadership-driven mindset to Quattro. As a seasoned professional, you take ownership with confidence, embracing responsibility for complex technical work and signing off on high-priority projects. You are a natural leader with a passion for mentorship, guiding engineers at all stages of their careers and fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and accountability. Your high emotional intelligence and ability to navigate tough conversations enable you to build alignment across engineering and other departments, ensuring respect and collaboration in every aspect of the role.Qualifications and ExperienceExperience: 10-15 years in mechanical engineering, ideally chartered, with an EPC background and mine processing plant and infrastructure experience.Leadership Skills: Proven abilities to lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across project deadlines and multiple regions.Technical Expertise: Perform detailed mechanical calculations and simulations to ensure optimal design integrity, reliability and safety.
