The Opportunity We are currently seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing Townsville team. You will have significant technical mechanical engineering design capabilities in the brownfield and greenfield mining/minerals processing industries.
Key Responsibilities Confidently provide technical mechanical, materials handling and piping expertise from concept through to detailed engineering and commissioning. Provide technical support to the Mechanical team. Effectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholders. Work on multiple projects in a multi-disciplinary drafting and engineering environment. Ensure the Safety in Design principles in all aspects of mechanical engineering outputs. Continuous improvement of the mechanical and piping design guides and the production of technical notes for use across the team. Provision of succinct updates and reports to relevant stakeholders. Timely and proactive resolution/escalation of potential discrepancies. Prepare proposals and scopes of work for competitive tender processes. Prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables. Assist with construction and commissioning including occasional site-based work if/as required. What you can bring to the team: You are a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer. CPEng / RPEQ required. You have 15+ years' experience as an Engineer in the mining, minerals process, power or other similar heavy industry sector. You have significant engineering design experience in both wet processing and materials handling including crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and piping network systems, slurry systems. Proven ability to deliver and manage deadlines over multiple projects. About BG&E Resources QLD?
