The role of Principal Legal Officer will deliver high-quality legal services to support the performance of the QCT's functions, including the provision of specialist legal advice.
The successful applicant will manage disciplinary referrals, review of suspension proceedings, appeals and external reviews before Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), including appearing at hearings and attending compulsory conferences, and making high-quality written and oral submissions.
Provision of legal advice and support to the Suitability to Teach Committee, the Professional Capacity and Teacher Conduct Committee, the Internal Review Committee, senior management, the Director, and the Board will also be required.
