Position Summary
Join our client's Perth team as a Lead Contract Specialist, where you'll lead procurement for construction services and engineered equipment in the sustainable energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. You'll support the Contracts and Procurement Manager in executing strategies, managing contractor performance, and mitigating risks, while guiding your team and collaborating with senior personnel.

About the Role Assist the Contracts and Procurement Manager with project procurement, contracting, contractor performance, claims, and risk management.Develop and implement project procurement strategy and guide the team through the entire supply chain process.Collaborate with senior project personnel, Client representatives, and legal advisors on commercial negotiations.Oversee contracting activities for construction services, equipment, materials, and third-party services, ensuring HSE compliance and quality standards.Prepare and administer complex tender packages, review submissions, negotiate terms, and draft Contracts/Purchase Orders.Manage procurement data systems, supplier documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.Monitor and manage supplier/contractor performance, invoice approvals, change negotiations, and contract closeouts.Support material expediting, delivery, and interface regularly with the client's team for reporting.About You Bachelor's degree in supply chain, law, business administration, quantity surveying, construction management, or equivalent experience; MCIPS/RIQS accreditation preferred.Extensive contracts and procurement experience on major EPCM/EPC projects, including developing contracting strategies, leading teams, and presenting to clients.Skilled in complex prioritization, persuasive communication, and influencing stakeholders, with an ability to provide technical guidance and mentor staff.Proficient with project and procurement software (Aveva ERM, Aveva CRM (ProCon), Omnicom, Aconex), and disciplined in system data management.Strong commitment to HSE, and expertise in leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, team collaboration, risk management, and time management.About Us
