Lead Contract Specialist

The Company
A global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts looking to add someone to their team in a new project in Perth, WA.
Your Responsibilities

Support the Contracts and Procurement Manager in executing the project procurement and contracting plan and lead the supply chain end to end process.
Develop and issue complex tender packages, administer tender process and receive tenders. Undertake review of tender submissions and negotiate any exceptions to Terms and Conditions.
Work with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure suppliers and contractors deliver specified services on-time.
Liaise with legal representatives on complex commercial negotiations.
Responsible for all assigned activities related to the contracting of construction services, packaged equipment, materials and third-party contract services ensuring quality compliance of equipment, materials and third-party services.
Prepare recommendations for award for Client and draft Contracts/Purchase Orders.

What you'll need to succeed

University Degree, preferably in supply chain, law, business administration, quantity surveying/construction management or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. MCIPS/RIQS accreditation highly regarded.
Extensive contracts and procurement experience in executing major projects in an EPCM / EPC organization.
Able to give job related guidance to department staff as a senior advisor.
Strong understanding of processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
