South32's corporate office is based in the heart of Perth's CBD.
The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical.

This nine-month fixed-term position with potential for extension will be based in our Perth offices.
We understand and value the benefits of flexibility and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home).

We're open to exploring flexible arrangements with qualified candidates.As Principal Indigenous Supplier Development, you will develop and drive South32's Indigenous Supplier development strategy to welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses into our supply chain.
You'll develop meaningful partnerships and pathways that enable Indigenous enterprises to flourish while enhancing our supplier diversity.Reporting to the Senior Manager of supply operations, other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Shape our future together by developing inclusive procurement strategies that welcome Indigenous businesses into our supply chain while championing our Reconciliation Action Plan goals and creating meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander enterprises.Foster genuine partnerships through collaboration with Indigenous support organisations and operational teams, helping to identify opportunities and provide guidance that enables Indigenous businesses to thrive in our procurement landscape.Nurture growth and success by conducting thoughtful capability assessments, removing barriers, and crafting opportunities that empower Indigenous enterprises to become successful suppliers to South32 and participate fully in our business community.Lead positive change through cultural awareness initiatives, industry engagement, and supportive coaching that strengthens our relationships with Indigenous businesses while ensuring excellence in delivery and compliance.ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Bring your proven Supply Chain and Procurement expertise to help shape our inclusive business future, with a natural ability to develop and implement strategies that celebrate supplier diversity.Share your gift for building meaningful relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, using your excellent communication skills to foster understanding and create positive outcomes.Demonstrate your deep understanding of Indigenous procurement and policies, coupled with your passion for creating positive change in business communities.Showcase your talent for influence and negotiation, helping to guide transformative change while bringing others along on our journey toward greater inclusion.Apply your strategic mindset to develop and deliver compelling presentations that inspire action and drive our vision forward.Navigate seamlessly through business tools and processes, combining your MS Office proficiency with change management expertise to help implement lasting improvements.Qualifications for this position are:Bachelor's degree or other post-secondary studies in supply chain, Procurement or related field.South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
