Located in the Gungahlin network, Franklin School is a P-6 school with approximately 545 students.

Staff work continually to build and improve on partnerships with local businesses and services that support the community and improve educational outcomes for students.
Programs and groups for students and families are run in the designated community room, including playgroup, wellbeing groups for students, Circle of Security Parenting Program, Tuning into Kids Parenting Program and community get-togethers.
With a strong focus on wellbeing for both students and families, the school partners with organisations to provide relevant programs and services.
Partnership organisations help needs such as targeted literacy support and wellbeing programs for students.
Partner organisations include Libraries ACT, ACT Playgroup and Story Dogs ACT.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full-time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and a current registration issued under the
Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011
is required.
