We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team based in Brisbane. Our team provides a wide range of project management, due diligence, EIA and approval services. We collaborate closely with our 23 in-house technical discipline teams to deliver comprehensive environmental service to clients across various sectors. Our Brisbane EIA team are diverse well-renowned, and work from our modern offices on Eagle Street with stunning bridge and river views.

Articulate, motivated and with a keen eye for technical details, you will have circa 15 years' experience in consulting, government or industry. You will enjoy undertaking project work whilst mentoring team members and developing client relationships throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national EIA group and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business. Exposure to international clients (e.g., who might own mineral assets in Australia) is likely in this role.

Key Responsibilities
As a technical leader in our national EIA team, this role will see you:
Providing advice on best practice EIA and management principles to clients and internal SLR team membersLeading and working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectorsAssisting in the development and implementation of team business plans and strategiesDeveloping, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly across other technical disciplinesWorking closely with the team lead to drive team and company growthConducting thorough technical reviews and mentoring/development of junior staffDelivering clear and precise, high-quality reportsOccasionally travelling to undertake field assessments and site familiarisation walk-oversExperience
Along with a great attitude and the ability to contribute to our friendly team, we are looking for:
A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years' experience in environmental impact assessment and primary state and commonwealth approvalsA solid network and the ability to win work through business development and demonstrated client management expertiseStrong experience in major linear infrastructure projects is essential. Experience in Mining (particularly non-coal e.g. copper, gold etc), Energy or Renewables will also be highly regardedDemonstrated experience directing and managing multidisciplinary projectsDemonstrated knowledge of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelinesDemonstrated knowledge of international impact assessment and securities reporting (e.g., SK-1300, NI-I43-101) will be looked upon favourablyStrong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAustralian Citizenship or rights to work in AustraliaOur Benefits
