About the role
In this role, you will lead a team to deliver high quality customer service for the community and other stakeholders and implement the City's Stormwater Services Strategy which incorporates Integrated Water Management and stormwater sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertake a mentoring/coaching role that shares technical knowledge and experience with respect to drainage and flood management.Plan and deliver a programme of investigations that respond to the characteristics of each of The City's stormwater catchment management units. This will include financial planning, resource planning, specialist service procurement, quality control, reports, and presentations to key stakeholders.Lead the review of statutory planning permit application referrals for development sites within a Special Building Overlay (including VicSmart Consent).Fulfill the role of custodian for implementing actions associated with operationalising The City's Stormwater Services Strategy.About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or tertiary qualification in equivalent discipline.
Experience leading a high-performing technical team. Experience communicating complex information to various audiences.Experience assessing the stormwater management elements of land development applications.Experience interpreting assessments supported by hydrologic and hydraulic modelling.Experience in investigation, analysis and selection of flood mitigation and drainage treatment options, assessment and analysis.If this sounds like the role for you, then click apply now!
