Senior Engineer – Rotating EquipmentAbout UsJemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.About the role: The Senior Engineer – Rotating is responsible for providing engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, integrity and long-term value of Jemena's Asset Class that supports Jemena's commercial and operational objective.This will be achieved by the development and implementation of high quality:Asset Class Strategies and PlansOpportunity BriefsFront End Engineering Design and Project SupportAsset Performance and Integrity Assessments and ReviewsOperational Engineering SupportEngineering investigation and reportingTo ensure Asset Performance, cross disciplinary collaboration is required to achieve sustained cost-effective operations, maintenance and renewal/disposal of physical infrastructure and equipment.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Identify projects required to deliver the Asset Class Strategies through the development of high quality and clearly defined opportunity briefs.Analyse and clearly define asset performance issues, risks and opportunities.Assist in the development of and provide input into the Programs of Work and Capital Plans as required.Support Customer and Markets/Business Development by providing high quality and cost-effective design and engineering solutions.Support Customer and Markets/Business Development as required by providing engineering supportProvide high quality and cost-effective support for delivery of the capital programs of workIdentify and analyse key performance indicators, to assess the performance and integrity of the asset and its key controls to ensure performance in accordance with Jemena's asset strategy objectives.Monitor the Overall Performance of Assets and produce Asset Performance and Integrity review reports.Understand the Gas Markets Networks and support the assets operations to ensure they are operating at their commercial optimum (physical performance, wastage etc.)Provide high quality and timely direction, guidance and advice on engineering issues with regard to equipment operation, capacity and capability of the asset class.Provide on-site/field technical support, inspection and witnessing of equipment, its testing and processes to support the delivery of O&M and capital construction works.About you: Bachelor's degree and/or higher in Engineering specialising in Mechanical.Eligible for Certified Professional Engineer or Register Professional Engineer.Solid technical experience in safety critical industry.Experience in Australian energy utilities/services provider and contractor marketTrack record of delivering Engineering and technical functions including policy, standards development, regulatory compliance and risk managementStrong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, code and appropriate safety criteria.Knowledge of Solar Turbine compressor packages, preferred.Why you should come and work for usOur people are our greatest strength and inspiration so having various flexible working options, paid parental leave and leave purchase plans amongst many other benefits are key foundational elements on which we have builtour success.
