Principal Engagement Advisor Department : Reform Delivery Division : NEM Reform Reference number : 11441 AEMO at the Heart of Energy AEMO is Australia's independent energy system and market operator and system planner.AEMO's purpose is to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable energy today, and enable the energy transition for the benefit of all Australians.Australian governments are now committed to a net zero economy for Australia by 2050 and our vision is to enable this.We have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems, and our core values revolve around character, commitment, and connection.Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.About the role The NEM Reform Program is accountable for designing, implementing, and embedding the change implications across a complex NEM governance system with a mix of diverse stakeholders including government, AEMO, regulators, energy generators/ producers, transmission and distribution businesses, retailers, and consumers.As Principal Stakeholder Engagement Advisor you'll be responsible for leading and delivering key engagement and communications activities required to support AEMO's activities under the NEM Reform Program, enhance stakeholder relationships and support AEMO to achieve its business goals.This position is a 12-18 month fixed term contract and flexible to be based across all states in Australia.What you will be doing Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements to support stakeholder engagement processes, including lessons learnt activities.Manage the preparation and coordination of NEM Reform Program stakeholder forums and working groups including timely circulation of meeting papers.Represent AEMO in key stakeholder meetings and facilitate follow up between meetings on key issues to ensure they are closed in a timely fashion.Directly interface with external stakeholders to communicate energy market and operational changes, understanding any stakeholder concerns.Work closely with NEM Reform Program initiatives in preparing engagement plans, identification of stakeholder risks and issues, and recommend strategies and solutions.Support training & mentoring for new and existing team members and support management in planning, resourcing, and budgeting as required.What you will bring to the role Demonstrated experience in the energy industry, with the ability to implement and lead stakeholder engagement plans / processes associated with complex technical, commercial, or regulatory issues across multiple projects.Established ability to execute strategic positioning, managed stakeholder relationships, and influence results.Thorough understanding of the design and operation of AEMO's markets, the regulatory framework, and industry structure.Highly proficient in a range of computer packages, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and CRMs.In return some of our benefits?to you Flexible working: work from home, part time,?job share, hybrid options,?and additional leave options Professional development via projects, industry networks,?job rotation, study assistance and more.Give back with up to 4 days of volunteering leave per year.Embrace a healthier you with our wellness program, discounted health insurance, gym perks and our comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP).About Our Process?
