ABOUT PERTH OFFICE South32's corporate office is based in the heart of Perth's CBD.
The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical.
Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

As Principal Energy & Carbon, you'll guide our sustainable energy future across Australian operations.
In this pivotal role, you'll cultivate strategic partnerships and develop innovative commercial solutions to enhance our energy efficiency.
Your expertise will help shape environmentally conscious practices while ensuring operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
Reporting to the Manager Energy, other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Orchestrate our energy portfolio strategy with sophistication and foresight, leveraging market intelligence to drive innovative solutions.
Navigate complex energy landscapes while harmonising commercial objectives with environmental stewardship, ensuring our operations remain at the forefront of sustainable practices. Steward an exemplary portfolio of US$ 150M-300M with precision and acumen, cultivating strategic supplier partnerships that drive mutual value.
Partner with Legal and Treasury to architect robust commercial frameworks that safeguard interests while maximising opportunities for growth and efficiency. Craft and nurture high-value relationships across our ecosystem of internal expertise and external partners.
Seamlessly integrate perspectives from Sustainability, Technology, and Development teams while maintaining a productive dialogue with regulatory bodies to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence. Champion a culture of continuous improvement through thoughtful mentorship and strategic guidance of cross-functional teams.
Elevate supply chain processes while fostering an environment that embraces innovation and promotes the exchange of market insights, positioning our operations for sustainable success. ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Demonstrate a distinguished track record of crafting and implementing transformative commercial strategies, with the insight to navigate complex energy landscapes and inspire innovative solutions. Bring a deep understanding of energy market dynamics, emerging trends, and sustainable practices, ideally enriched by experience within the dynamic metals and mining sector. Possess a refined commercial mindset cultivated through 7+ years of strategic supply chain leadership, particularly emphasising energy portfolio optimisation and value creation. Shape and drive critical negotiations with poise and purpose, balancing commercial goals and operational requirements.
Your diplomatic touch will help bring stakeholders together to achieve winning outcomes. Take complex projects from ideas to reality, keeping teams motivated and aligned throughout the journey.
