This pivotal role involves leading the development of electrical balance of plant (EBOP) design and providing technical accountability across the electrical team in the field of electrical engineering. Involvement in the project lifecycle ranges from early development (feasibility and connection assessment) and detailed design through to construction and finally support to operations teams.Job DescriptionDevelopment Projects: Conduct feasibility studies, lead workshops, design compliant BOP solutions, coordinate with grid operators, review designs, collaborate with OEMs, and guide project budgets and schedules.Construction Projects: Review designs, manage compliance, develop specifications, support project teams, provide SME input, oversee commissioning, and ensure compliance with standards.Operations: Advise on failures and upgrades, contribute to communications, and ensure smooth operation of electrical systems.General: Provide engineering advice, facilitate decision-making, develop tender documents, maintain relationships, and enhance technical standards and procedures.Required Skills and CompetenciesDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.Background in power generation, mining or a related industry.Strong understanding and ability to apply Australian standards including AS2067, AS3000, AS3008, AS3013, AS7000, AS1768 and others as required.Strong technical report and scope writing skills, with experience working in interdisciplinary teams.Commercial acumen and a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.As a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
