Principal Consultant - Security (Contract) Looking for a Principal Consultant in our security practice, with deep experience in cloud security particularly in an Azure environment, including Sentinel and M365 to be pivotal part of our professional services team.
The role: You'll act as the lead engineer & consultant for technical client engagements in security focused on Azure Security. Sentinel and Microsoft Defender M365. Day to day, you'll drive, deliver and oversee the architecture, assessments, solutions, and implementation for our clients. You will design and implement Sentinel based solutions Your focus will be protecting Azure security environments , both consulting clients and hands-on in delivering effective cloud security solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. As a consultant, you'll also be working closely with clients to conduct workshops for clients, communicate and present discoveries to Senior Management and Executive stakeholders (including C-Suite & Directors) and ensure appropriate stakeholders are effectively engaged in the formulation of the 'secure-by-design' architecture. As a Principal, you'll also influence governance, processes, and documentation within the practice. The ideal candidate: Based anywhere in Australia, you will be an Australian citizen ideally with AGSVA clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, PV, PVA) or at least with the ability to get such clearance. Significant consulting, architecture & delivery experience in the cloud security space, particularly in a Microsoft cloud native environment. Ability to understand business requirements and design effective solutions Top level hands-on engineering skills in implementing security solutions including : Microsoft Sentinel (including KQL, Configuring Data Connectors, Creating detection rules, playbooks and workbooks) Scripting – Integration with REST API, PowerShell Network Security Concepts: Firewalls, NSGs, General Networking in Azure Cloud Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) Top level communication skills and high-end consulting experience, with the ability to effectively deal with business and technical stakeholders Experience in mentoring and guiding other engineers Why LAB3?
