Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts Strategy & Engagement; Community Recovery; Communities; Cairns Exceptional leadership opportunity:• Develop engagement models and service delivery frameworks for partnership with non-government organisations.• Lead a regional team responsible for the delivery of regional functions that support planning, preparedness, and resilience across Queensland on behalf of Community Recovery.• During an event activation, work with leadership to enable the delivery of grant management and emotional support to affected communities.Regular travel will be required.First Nation applicants are highly encouraged to apply, along with people with diverse backgrounds.This critical position represents an exceptional leadership opportunity offering both people leadership, extensive stakeholder engagement and strategic focus.As Manager for Regional Delivery and NGO Partnership Management, you will lead the regional delivery team that support planning, preparedness and resilience across Queensland on behalf of Community Recovery.Responsibilities include:• Develop and implement Stakeholder engagement strategies to identify and manage key relationships with non-government organisations, Local and District Disaster Management Groups and District Human and Social Recovery Committees.• Supervise and lead regional Principal Community Recovery Officers (PCROs) in their engagement, preparedness and planning activities across Queensland. This includes providing advice regarding the management of complex and challenging clients that require multi-agency support and referrals to financial, psychological and social support services.• Develop and review existing Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines to support PCRO's with strategic and operational planning via approved documentation on the CR SharePoint site.• Develop a framework and partnership engagement model with non-government organisations that are part of the State Human and Social Recovery Group and District Human and Social Recovery Committees.• Develop and manage the process of engagement of non-government agencies, in consultation with State-wide Services, to deliver contracted services during incidents, crisis and disaster events.• During a disaster event, support the Director, Strategy and Engagement to enable the delivery of grant management and emotional support to affected communities.To be successful in this highly rewarding and challenging role, the successful incumbent must be able to demonstrate strong leadership capability and significant knowledge of community building, resilience and preparedness planning and Disaster Management arrangements in Queensland.As Community Recovery works closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, it is critical that you can communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and have a knowledge of their cultures and community protocols.
