Principal Application Specialist

The successful candidate will lead changes required as per the roadmap, at the request of application manager.

Role responsibilities: Provide effective change management, capacity planning, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, with the ITIL framework.Ensure all changes are delivered on schedule and as planned in regards to impact to clients.Ensure compliance and optimal performance of enterprise service levels by managing and performing the dissemination and implementation of policies, processes and standards for technical configuration of the enterprise infrastructure.Maintain and manage effective working relationships and engage with third parties that provide technical support for the enterprise infrastructure.You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:


Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident/problem/change/release management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 5, CHMG Level 5, RELM Level 5)Demonstrated expert level skills and experience in managing clinical applications and its integration with business requirements and technical environment in a large and complex service delivery environment.Highly-developed knowledge and understanding of the operation of cardiology informatics and electronic medical record systems and associated clinical workflows.Demonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer-focused ICT environment. Experience in negotiating and managing service level agreements with emphasis on a strong customer focus. (SFIA: SLMO Level 5)Specific Working Conditions: Participation in on-call arrangements will be required for this position.
