LEAD A SMALL TEAM AND HAVE A BIG IMPACT ON COUNCIL'S APPLICATION SERVICES About You As an experienced leader, you enjoy coaching and developing a specialist business applications team and working in collaboration to deliver quality services and achieve key operational and strategic outcomes.
You'll identify and drive process improvements and support change initiatives, with a focus on enhancing the utilization and efficacy of Council's application systems.
Your extensive knowledge and experience will be used to develop innovative solutions that meet complex and diverse organizational needs, and you'll provide advanced technical advice and specialist technical support to a range of stakeholders.

About the position As the Principal Application Services Operations, you will oversee an extensive application portfolio and will be responsible for all aspects of the application lifecycle.
You will provide advanced technical advice and leadership to a team of application specialists and work collaboratively to ensure that services are effectively managed to meet current and future organizational needs.
This is a fixed term full-time position, available until 30 June 2026. The annual salary range for this position is $109,817.33 - $123,936.67 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. How to be successful in this position To excel in this role, you will have:
Recognised tertiary qualifications in information systems, computer science, or related area with extensive relevant experience, or a combination of considerable skills and extensive experience, expertise and competence which enables you to perform all duties of the position. Certification in industry standard methodologies is highly desirable (Prince 2, Diploma in Project Management, SAFe Agile, BABOK). Possession of the current version of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification or the ability to attain within six (6) months of commencement. Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence is essential. Qualifications in management are highly desirable. Experience in leading a diverse team to achieve operational and strategic objectives. Experience in managing the effective design and interoperability of applications solutions to meet organizational needs. Experience in managing contracts and negotiating business outcomes on behalf of your work area. Experience in managing the delivery of projects or initiatives to achieve corporate goals. The ability to identify and implement process or service improvements to meet key performance outcomes.
