Catholic Education Sandhurst is responsible for more than 50 primary and secondary schools across Central and Northern Victoria including Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta and surrounding communities. Our school community supports more than 300 employees and a diverse range of educational facilities.
We have full time positions for Primary Classroom Teachers. The primary objective of the role is to develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs and support the Catholic ethos, traditions, and practices, and apply these in classroom activities.
Responsibilities include: Contemporary Teaching – focus on quality teaching and learning, employ a variety of teaching strategies to implement the curriculum, monitoring and keeping records on student attendance and performance, understand state and national course requirements, engage in learning progress discussions, formal report writing.Pastoral Care and Child Safety – apply the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, assist with the provision of a safe environment for students, demonstrate duty of care for student physical and mental well-being, abide by principles of Catholic social teaching.Curriculum Development – plan, develop, review and evaluate curriculum according to subject areas and year level, develop assessments in conjunction with colleagues, and attend subject meetings.Professional Development – have current knowledge of curriculum initiatives, keep abreast of information from VCAA, continue development of ICT skills, be an active member of professional associations.Co-curricular Involvement – support and be involved in co-curricular programs, proactively encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities, act as a role model for students.General and Administrative Duties – contribute to a healthy and safe work environment, comply with administrative duties, attend relevant school meetings, sporting events, mass, community and faith days.Remuneration: Remuneration range is in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022 from T1-1 $78,021 - T2-6 $115,737 depending on experience and expertise.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Must have at least 2 years of primary school teaching experience.Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (4 years) or equivalent teaching qualifications.Willing to work within the Australian teaching curriculum.Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or be working towards such accreditation).Diversity, Inclusion and Child Safety: CES Limited embrace diversity and social inclusion and encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
