About the Role:
A wonderful opportunity awaits a caring and dedicated Primary LOTE teacher to join a small, caring and well-resourced Catholic Primary School near Caroline Springs starting in 2025. Offering a full-time position open to the LOTE Language including AUSLAN. Key Duties: Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum for LOTE Primary/Secondary levels.Deliver effective and interactive LOTE instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.Introduce aspects of a specific LOTE culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.Design assessments to evaluate language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students.Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.Skills & Experience: Unrestricted working rights in Australia.Current VIT registration or just applied.Relevant Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree).Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia.Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).An understanding and support of Catholic values.Offering: Full time role starting Term 1, 2025.Teaching LOTE (open to the language including AUSLAN).Instructing students in single primary years.Work within a small Primary Specialist team.Collegial planning with protected planning time.The School: Under 450 students ranging from Foundation to Year 6.Promotes excellent student behaviour and fosters a positive learning culture.Accessible management team and smaller team setups enhance efficient planning and support at every turn.Ample opportunities for professional growth and development.Accessible by public transport (multiple bus numbers/routes out the front of the school).Why work with Tradewind?
