GEGAC Primary Health Care (PHC) is looking for a reliable driver to transport clients to medical appointments in Bairnsdale and out of town.
The successful applicant needs to be reliable and, if required, stay overnight in Melbourne.
Webster pack and Foodbank deliveries when needed.
The PHC driver will work as part of the front of house team helping deliver essential services for the community.

Organisational Profile GEGAC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation based on Gunaikurnai Country in Bairnsdale, Victoria.
Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability, and Early Childhood Education.
GEGAC is a child safe agency and has a zero tolerance of abuse or neglect of children and young people.
Position Purpose The purpose of the Primary Health Care Medical Driver is to assist in the safe transportation of GEGAC Primary Health Care Services clients to appointments both in Bairnsdale and out of town as far as Melbourne.
This may require the Medical Driver to stay overnight in Melbourne to support the client to attend medical and dental appointments.
Drivers will be required to deliver Webster packs and other deliveries.
Cleaning and maintaining the cars is also a requirement of this position.
Key Selection Criteria Are mature, reliable and have confidence to work independently without direct supervision and seek support and guidance as required. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated knowledge of the health and issues facing the local Aboriginal Community. Ability to liaise effectively with other organisations. Ability to participate in a team environment or work independently and liaise with and support the local Aboriginal Community. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise. Be reliable and punctual.
This is essential to ensure clients can attend appointments that are vital in the goals of providing client-centred care. To attend drives as needed for services other than Medical/Dental when required.
