Your Role and Responsibilities As a Technology Sales Engineer, you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business. A typical day may involve: Storage Strategy Creation: Creating client strategies for storage solutions.Enhanced Storage Solutions: Defining IBM storage options to improve existing technology.Proof of Concept Delivery: Providing proofs of concept and simplifying technical topics for client understanding.Complex Cloud Deal Closure: Building trust to successfully close complex cloud tech deals. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Strong understanding of data storage technologies and trendsProven experience in designing and implementing storage solutions for enterprise customers in hybrid cloud environmentsExcellent communication and presentation skills, ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiencesFamiliarity with agile project management principles as they relate to modern application development, integrating on premise and cloud workloadsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and salesPassion for staying current with industry developments and emerging technologies Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Cyber Resilience Expertise: Experience in backup and restore activities as a response to cyber events.Experience with project delivery, solution architecture, business continuity and risk management.
