We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!Please note, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve Australian Government Baseline clearance to be successful in your application for this role.What you'll doIn this role, you'll join our architecture team to drive adoption of the wide range of solutions provided by Datacom. You'll use your individual creativity to create and promote innovative solutions across the range of our IT Service offerings, with a large focus on Managed Services and IT outsourcing solutions.You'll lead the technical pre-sales scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our sales specialists, vendors, and clients to produce compelling, fit for purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology. You'll become fully immersed in the client's technical environment so you can make the best recommendations.A natural presenter, you'll lead workshops and create technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap.We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders' changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.What you'll bringWe are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect with extensive experience working in complex enterprise scale environments. You have a strong understanding of Managed Services and IT Outsourcing to really own technical presales conversations.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive productive relationships. You will have a consultative approach and the ability to influence senior management and project leaders.To be successful in the role, you must have:A broad technical background in the Infrastructure and Managed Services spectrumPrevious experience in developing and delivering enterprise solutions to Government clients in a managed services contractual environmentProficient in commercial and contract management including pricing strategiesExtensive experience in preparing bid reports, RFP, RFI and other tendering documentsThorough knowledge and understanding of the applicability of Architectural frameworks, with relevant certificationsThe leadership skills to mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projectsA deep understanding of the ITIL frameworkWhy join us here at Datacom?Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
