About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with individuals impacted by family violence, delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care within an integrated practice framework. You will be responsible for assessing, managing risk, and providing support to women, children, and families while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Role Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of family violence clients, delivering support through assessments, triage, and crisis interventions. Conduct risk assessments and manage complex situations, ensuring safety and wellbeing. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement tailored intervention plans. Provide advocacy and support for victims of family violence, ensuring their needs and goals are met. Engage in cross-sector collaboration with justice and social services to ensure a holistic response. Maintain accurate and comprehensive case notes in line with legal and organisational requirements.
Essential Criteria: A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent (or working towards one). In-depth knowledge of the drivers of family violence, child and family vulnerability, and experience in the social services sector. Experience in risk management and applying frameworks in a family violence setting. Strong communication skills with experience in public speaking, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency settings. Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
Desirable Criteria: Postgraduate qualification in Social Work – Family Violence Stream or equivalent training. Experience working with diverse communities and managing complex service delivery contexts.
