SPRING ( Support, Person-centred, Respond to risk, Inspire hope, Navigate, Growth) Aims to minimise hospital presentations for young people in distress by providing a mental health service that can overcome barriers to support through the program's outreach capacity and operating hours across the weekend. The Role Centacare is excited to offer a fixed-term, part-time opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner within our impactful SPRING program. In this role, you will provide crucial support to young people aged 11-18 who are experiencing suicidal distress, self-harming behaviours, or other mental health challenges.
This meaningful part-time position involves working outside of traditional hours, including weekends, with a rotating roster across Thursday to Monday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. What you need to bring Essential Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or related field. It is essential to be able to work out of hours and on weekends. Rotating Roster Thursday- Monday 11am- 8pm Proven experience working alongside vulnerable youth and their networks facing barriers to support. Proven experience delivering a service compassionately to people experiencing distress. Proven experience working effectively in collaboration with stakeholders. Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. Valid Driver's Licence. Desirable Experience working in crisis spaces. Experience working with families with complex needs. Understanding of the referral pathways and how to navigate systems delivering services for mental health and broader social issues. What's in it for you SCHCADS Award 2010 Level 5 + super.
