About the role Leading the strategy, finance, HR, IT and other aspects of the business, you will be looked upon as a leader within the broader organisation.
This is a very commercial role assisting both the partners driving the core accounting, assurance and tax divisions, and the other business leads within financial planning and finance broking divisions.
Supported by the partners, you will ensure the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities, as well as the successful implementation of our strategic initiatives.
You will be pivotal in overseeing operations, IT, change management, people and culture, and communications across the team.
The role requires someone who can be both hands-on and can support/delegate tasks within the team effectively.
You thrive on continuous system and process improvements.
This role is also responsible for the fortnightly payroll functions, and the interface to the HR functions of the business.
This role will require a high level of sensitivity and the ability to anticipate, filter, and accelerate problem solving as appropriate, ensuring that the partner group can focus on key decision-making areas.
This role is seen as a long-term career move, and therefore the start date can be negotiated in the first half of 2025.
This will be a dynamic role, located on the beautiful south coast (1 hour from Sydney).
Duties/Key responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of the financial reporting process.Drive the HR systems and reporting functions of the business.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business and team performance and compliance with relevant regulations.Assist the partner group with strategic projects.About You You are highly organised, and a strategic thinker, with a very strong background in financial service businesses.
Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allow you to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders, and you have a keen eye for detail and can balance managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
You are able to build strong relationships and influence others.
You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and know how to motivate and encourage others.
Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills enable you to identify and address anything that comes your way, proactively, ensuring that our team remains compliant and aligned with our vision and objectives.
Your background To be considered for this role, you may be an existing practice/business manager, or a Finance Manager looking to step up into a broader role.
You should also have the following skills and attributes:
