About the Role BDO Cairns has a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and collaborative Practice Assistant to join our Business Services Support team. This position will work closely with other Practice Assistants within the team to provide effective and efficient administrative support our Business Services Partners.

Our ideal candidate is energetic, passionate about providing high quality support, is able to manage multiple priorities and most importantly genuinely loves what they do!

This role would suit someone who has a particular interest in administrative support and is looking to take the next step in their career. For the right candidate this role provides an excellent long-term opportunity, to further develop within our firm.
What you will bring to our team Certificate III in Business Administration, or currently studying – we are open to different qualifications and fields of experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional presentation with a friendly manner and proactive attitude
Strong IT and computer skills. You will embrace new technology and have the ability to adapt quickly
Understanding of traditional administrative tasks, procedures and systems
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving and task management with the ability to multitask efficiently
Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
Understanding of business terminology as well as basic accounting terminology (desirable)
Experience in MYOB Accounts Enterprise (desirable)
Self-initiative and hunger to learn – we want you to ask questions, to clarify information and be proactive in your learning and advancement at BDO.
