Practice Administrator (Legal Secretary) - Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) – MelbourneJoin a top-tier Australian law firm.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Melbourne, providing direct and high-level support to a thriving and collaborative practice group.
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and confident administrator to work with a dynamic, high-performing R&I team.
The role As an integral part of the team, this role involves providing support to our R&I Partner based in our Melbourne office and his wider team.
You will manage the administrative responsibilities and utilize your expertise in billing processes to ensure seamless support to the R&I practice, within a supportive and collegiate environment.
Key responsibilities Provide high-level secretarial and administrative supportDiary management including organizing client meetings and facilitating travel arrangementsAssist with the preparation and processing of pre-bills and accounts on a monthly basis, and client reporting requirementsFile management and handling including opening and closing mattersUndertaking conflict searches on firm database and preparing conflict emailsAttending to accounts inquiries and receiving funds with a focus on professionalism and efficiencyManage general accounts, reporting, monthly billing, and expensesTeam player, willing to step in and assist and take initiative to assist in the smooth operation of the practiceSkills & Experience To excel in this high-level role, you need:
Proven and distinguished experience in a legal administrative, secretarial roleExperience in billing processing, ideally with experience using Aderant ExpertA flexible approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound successThe ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleaguesStrong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situationsAdvanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with meticulous attention to detailThis position represents a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to elevate their career in a challenging, rewarding, collegiate, and supportive environment.
