Permanent Role CBD location with hybrid working Oversee this company's data platform in AWS Salary upwards of $165,000+ Our client is looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join their team on a permanent basis with a hybrid working arrangement, leading a team of data engineers and driving their data platform into the future. You will be consulting with and guiding the business on all things relating to data as they move through a digital transformation!
Key Responsibilities:
Work with IT leaders, business leaders, and developers to ensure the data platform is treated as a service, focusing on reusability, security, maintainability, and scalability. Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a data engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong expertise in data engineering, particularly with AWS services such as Lake Formation, Amazon MWAA, and RDS. Experience in data ingestion from RDBMS, flat files, and APIs, using CDC and streaming technologies. Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines with AWS Glue, Kinesis, and Lambda. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
