In this role you will take the lead in driving all PR activities for the brand including developing and executing PR strategies, product placement, coordinating events, creating engaging content, and managing talent partnerships. Not only will you be overseeing Mimco's social media strategy, you'll also be leading all publicity efforts for charity partnerships and store concessions.Key AccountabilitiesLead, develop, and execute Mimco's PR strategy across Australia and New Zealand, supporting brand activities, campaigns, and charity partnerships.Lead, develop, and execute Mimco's publicity events across Australia and New Zealand, including briefing, concept development, supplier management, guest lists, run sheets, and overall event management, with support from PR agencies to drive mass coverage.Lead, develop, and execute Mimco's organic social media content strategy.Drive Mimco's product placement and seeding strategy for each range, including media showroom, media gifting, influencer seeding, celebrity gifting, and celebrity stylist outreach.Manage seasonal PR strategy briefings, media showings, media kits, and the digital media hub.Write business, brand, and campaign press releases that effectively communicate key messages.Collaborate with the Design & Creative teams to procure talent and influencers that align with Mimco's product and messaging each month.Maintain and nurture relationships with media, celebrities, influencers, and keep the database updated.Build and lead a high-performing PR & Events team, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.Key CapabilitiesRelevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, PR or similar.Experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry, managing PR and events.Proven experience in developing and executing PR strategies, media briefings, showings, and managing media kits.Proficient in executing organic social media strategies across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and analysing performance metrics.Advanced skills in writing press releases, business, brand, and campaign content that communicates key messages effectively.Strong experience in managing events, including supplier coordination, guest lists, and logistics, ensuring brand visibility and success.Why work for Mimco?We are Mimco: a design led brand with an obsession for accessories.
