About the Opportunity:

The Centre for Conservation Ecology and Genomics (CCEG) in the Institute for Applied Ecology is seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a project investigating cutting-edge approaches to restoring amphibian populations in chytrid-impacted landscapes. You will join world-leading researchers in the field of amphibian-chytrid dynamics while being able to draw on the facilities and skills of other researchers in the Centre. CCEG comprises a highly collaborative group of researchers, committed to producing high-impact science in a friendly and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a PhD in ecology, biological data analysis or an aligned discipline, with demonstrated excellence in ecological analysis and a strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Experience working in amphibian ecology and/or chytrid disease studies will be highly regarded. The position will be supervised by Associate Professor Simon Clulow, Professor Richard Duncan, and Dr Ben Scheele (Australian National University). We anticipate ample opportunity for you to develop additional research questions that align with your skill sets and interests.
Key responsibilities include –
Collaborating closely with CIs and project partners to achieve project objectives.
Co-supervising HDR students where appropriate.
Preparing and delivering research reports and publications, and participating in meetings, seminars, workshops.
Presenting results at national and international conferences.
