Centre for Future Materials
A world-leading research centre in advanced composite materials and applications providing advanced partnerships with industry towards innovation and growth.

Centre for Future Materials is known for pioneering research and development in engineered fibre composites, prioritising industry lead R&D in advanced composite manufacturing, civil composites, smart materials, and geopolymer & concrete. It operates a dedicated industry test service for more than 1000 clients across multiple sectors both nationally and internationally.

Australia's Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) is a $160 million initiative to boost growth and innovation in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Part of the Federal Governments Trailblazer Program, FaBA leverages $50m of government investment with more than $110m from universities and industry. Partners work across four areas: the research programs Innovative Ingredients and Premium Food and Beverage Products, and the enabling programs Innovation Pathways and the FaBA Training Centre.

A national initiative, FaBA provides F&B manufacturers access to research teams, next generation industry professionals, state-of-the-art equipment and pilot facilities. FaBA is proudly hosted by The University of Queensland, in collaboration with participants QUT, UniSQ and UniQuest.

Who you are
We are seeking a Food Technologist, Chemist or Food/Chemical/Mechanical Engineer with experience in food analysis, rheology, production/processing to operate as a research scientist and provide specialist technical and subject matter expertise in support of high quality research outcomes at all stages of the research life-cycle. You will join a vibrant research team of other researchers, research students and industry partners.

Term : Full-time fixed-term appointment for 3 years (37.5 hrs/week)

Salary : Total remuneration range $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
