Professor Vincent Gramoli, Dr. Qiang Tang, Dr. Sri Aravinda Krishnan Thyagarajan, and Dr. Liyi Zhou.
Working closely with Assoc.
Professor Jiangshan Yu and his team, the successful candidate will develop algorithms, protocols, and tools for decentralised and distributed systems.
The candidate will be expected to conduct independent, quality research and contribute to the collegial culture of the team.
They will be given opportunities to attend and present their work at leading conference venues, as well as to mentor HDR and Honours students.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Collaborate closely with A/Prof.
Yu and his HDR students to advance research objectives, developing algorithms, protocols, and systems and their applications.Actively participate in and contribute to our research group's activities, including seminars, reading groups, and collaborative projects.Conduct high-quality independent research that complements and enhances our current projects in decentralised systems.About you The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity.
As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Decentralised Science who has:
A PhD in Computer Science or a related field (candidates nearing completion of their PhD may also be considered).Excellent communication and writing skills.A proven track record of publishing in top-tier conferences, specifically in areas such as distributed database/systems.Expertise in at least one of the following areas is essential: distributed computing (e.g.
consensus algorithms), protocol design and analysis, game theory.Experience in proof-of-concept implementation, particularly for evaluating the performance of distributed algorithms and systems, is highly desirable.Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
Similarly, your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
If you do not meet these conditions, the University may take any necessary step, including the termination of your employment.
