Postdoctoral Research Associate (Level A): The University of Technology Sydney is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate (Level A) in the Future Reefs Team.
The role involves supporting a research grant on coral nutrition as a novel active intervention strategy in collaboration with various institutions and researchers.

Minimum Requirements:Tertiary education in analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, coral reef ecology (with a track record of chemistry experience), or related disciplines.Demonstrated practical knowledge of Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS).Demonstrated practical knowledge of Laser Ablation – Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS).Demonstrated practical knowledge of Imaging Mass Spectrometry.High experience in methods validation.Experience running environmental manipulation experiments in the laboratory.Demonstrated coral husbandry skills and ability to conduct laboratory experimentation.SCUBA certification (minimum certification, rescue diver or equivalent) is desirable.Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by a track record of high impact publications.Organized with good time-management skills.Ability to work flexibly and independently under broad direction within a team environment.Job Description:The successful candidate will engage in synthetic research related to coral nutrition, including the development of new methods and interventions.
Responsibilities include characterizing organic compounds, maintaining instruments, contributing to lab duties, and drafting reports and papers.
The role also involves collaboration with international researchers and institutions.
