About the Role
The purpose of thePostdoctoral Fellow (Level A)is to conduct research in the fields of Computational Social Choice / Algorithmic Game Theory / Economics & Computation / Mechanism and Market Design / Trustworthy AI/ Explainable and Auditable AI, and support the research of the ARC Laureate Fellowship on "Trustworthy AI". You will be required to undertake and have experience in the following areas of expertise:
Conduct of research in the area of Computational Social Choice / Algorithmic Game Theory / Economics & Computation / Mechanism and Market Design / Trustworthy AI/ Explainable and Auditable AI, independently and as part of a team and contribute to the goals of the ARC Laureate funded project on "Trustworthy AI".
Contribute to the writing of scientific papers and reports for international journals and progress reporting to other researchers and industry partners.
Assist with the coordination of research activities and actively contribute to research outputs to meet project milestones.
Undertake specific research project/s under the guidance of a research leader and contribute to development of research activities.
Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
Undertake discipline-appropriate research activities, e.g. surveys, literature reviews, data gathering and/or recording of results using appropriate research methods.
Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values
Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.
About You
PhD (or soon to be awarded) in Computational Social Choice / Algorithmic Game Theory / Economics & Computation / Mechanism and Market Design / Trustworthy AI/ Explainable and Auditable AI or related area.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures.
