Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.We are seeking to appoint a Post-doctoral Research Associate in Parkinson's Disease within the School of Medical Sciences.Your key responsibilities will be to:conduct research, scholarly or professional activity, independently as part of a team, contributing to discipline knowledgedevelop and refine independent research skills under the supervision of more senior academic staffprovide informal mentoring and advice to students within disciplinecarry out administrative tasks and contribute to faculty/school meetingscontribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabledunderstand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agendaundertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as required.About youPhD in a relevant field is requireddemonstrated understanding of Parkinson's or other neurodegenerative diseasesexperience conducting original research into Parkinson's or other neurodegenerative diseasesdemonstrated understanding of the subject-matter within the disciplineexperience with conducting research using human biosamplesknowledge of quantitative research methodsexcellent written and verbal communication skillsSponsorship / work rights for AustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
