Product & Innovation Manager - Manufactured Products Porta is one of Australia's leading suppliers of timber products to the home improvement, building, trade and commercial sectors. Operating under the mantle "We know & love timber", Porta is seeking a Product & Innovation Manager to join an energised product and consumer-focused marketing team. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns within Porta's suite of products, working alongside our Marketing & National Sales Team to implement an integrated marketing strategy.

Work in an exciting, fun and enthusiastic team Work in an environment that leans into your strengths & develops your professional capacity An exciting opportunity to be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the manufactured product range The opportunity to further establish our corporate brand and established industry reputation An attractive salary, great location and supportive environment Job variety, strategic challenges and end-to-end responsibility of projects Key Objectives: Develop and manage a pipeline portfolio of Innovation for Porta, owning the creation, ongoing refinement, prioritisation, and successful execution of the manufactured and new product roadmap Manage existing products within the residential and commercial portfolios to ensure profitability and strategic product life cycles Create every aspect of new innovative products from conception, delivery to distribution centres and supporting customers Develop a deep understanding of our customers, putting their needs at the centre of all product design and development Manage the quality & technical specifications of manufactured & new product portfolios Develop a deep understanding of competitors including positioning, product performance and pricing Develop & maintain the company database, ERP and Product for product specifications Represent the company at trade shows Manage price increase process and price lists for manufactured products Develop a compelling & relevant product vision using trend research, customer loyalty/insights, customer feedback/research and internal operational metrics Build a culture of new product delivery speed and excellence, crafting innovative solutions to solve significant customer problems and getting them into market quickly and efficiently Lead product roll-out efforts in collaboration with marketing and production teams to launch to market Identify, develop and manage contractual relationships with strategic partners and suppliers both domestic and abroad Responsible for preparation of documentation and input to technical specifications, installation manuals and information for sales and marketing Responsible for the development of production tooling, jigs, fixtures and assembly processes in liaison with the production team Highly skilled in budget and project management What you will have: Minimum 5 years' experience in product development (preferably manufacturing/timber/building products) Customer insights leading to product development innovation experience SolidWorks/CAD and/or Drawing proficiency beneficial Design for Manufacture and Assembly skills and experience is beneficial Hands-on Building/interiors industry skills is preferred but not essential Mechanical engineering skills and experience Experience working with internal and external design and engineering teams Experience in testing and verification procedures and methods Communication skills to uncover and work through complexity Project management and team leading skills and experience to meet project goals This is a full-time position based in our Fairfield head office.
