The opportunity
Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to lead initiatives that make a tangible difference? We're seeking a proactive and skilled Environmental Officer with a focus on sustainability to join our vibrant Natural Systems Team for a 12 month full-time contract period.
Working alongside our current Environmental Officers, and mentored by the Environmental Strategy Team Leader, you will have a sustainability focus, playing a key role in managing and delivering our Emissions Reduction Action Plan projects, whilst also supporting the delivery of the Team's other key environmental projects.
This is a contract opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement such as flexi-time and working from home Total Remuneration Package: $90,715 to $106,272 pa based on 35 hours / week (inclusive of 11.5% superannuation + $2,312 retention allowance) You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace Some of the key responsibilities within this role are listed below; however, you can view the full list here – view the position description .
Project manage and deliver key actions & projects from the Emissions Reduction Action Plan. Foster collaboration with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and support working groups in achieving organisational sustainability goals. Provision of practical, plain language advice to Council and the Community as it relates to natural resource related policies, plans and strategies. Developing and implementing natural resource policies, plans and strategies consistent with Council's Vision, Values and Operational Plan. We're all about putting the right people, in the right role! Degree qualifications in Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or demonstrated equivalent. Someone with a passion for sustainability and demonstrated experience in project managing, coordinating or delivering environmental projects. Excellent interpersonal abilities to build trust, facilitate collaboration, and drive engagement with diverse stakeholders. This is life at PSC!
