We are proud to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, and excellent career development opportunities, each offering unique ways to explore the world.Royal Caribbean Group's Port Services Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Director, Port Services APAC reporting to VP Port Services.Position Summary:The Director of Port Services APAC has overall operational and financial responsibility for all Guest Port Services and Port Operations in the assigned regions: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.
This position leads the team of Port Operation Managers and Account Managers to manage all port agencies and the ground handlers in the APAC region, ensuring that all port and ship services for the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises brands are achieved in a timely and professional manner according to established department and corporate standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop goals, strategies and optimum approaches for overall operations.Collaborate with Department senior management to craft department strategic goals and objectives for both areas of Operations.Manage Port Ops and GPS team to ensure port readiness for call or turn operations.Leads port development and readiness requirements in Asia.Oversees all Port related projects and acts as a liaison between various departments.Ensures team is developing turnaround programs and contingency planning in relevant ports.Has direct interaction with senior level shipboard management executive team in planning turnaround operations.Travels to turnaround locations to oversee pier and airport operations (approximately 40% travel).Monitors and evaluates turnaround operations through site inspections and guest feedback.Leads the local team and cooperates with HQ GPS to develop the customized check in/boarding process for the Asia market.Maintains a good-standing relationship with port authorities and relevant government entities.Identifies and enacts process improvements to improve operational efficiencies.Represents and speaks for the best interest of the company and the industry.Emergency and Crisis Management:Responds to crisis involving ships operations.Works with various government agencies during emergency situations to create contingency plans.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and/or logistics.Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred.Proven management experience of minimum 5 years.Strong experience in finance and operations.Must have in-depth knowledge of Immigration and Customs laws.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.We know there's a lot to consider.
