ABOUT GEMCO Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

Education assistance up to $8000 per year. Options for additional superannuation contributions. ABOUT THE ROLE This role is a permanent position on a 7:7 day/night roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
As the Port & Logistics Supervisor , you will supervise and lead the execution of Port and Road Haulage plans to ensure GEMCO can safely achieve the production plan and targets for HSEC, Cost and Volume.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Coordinate shipping movements and monitor and control port resources. Manage risks associated with road transport and shipping operations. Drive continuous improvement and actively participate in team Results and Progress Management (RPM's) meetings. Promote a culture of safety awareness and team development through demonstrated behaviours and values. ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
A passion for workplace safety, engagement and improvement. Previous experience working in a similar role ideally within the Mining sector, Logistics and Port operations. Knowledge of fixed plant, mobile equipment and isolation process (advantageous).
