Join The Borgen Project in a 12-week part-time internship fighting poverty and advocating for U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy to benefit developing countries.
Responsibilities include public outreach, meeting with government officials, and mobilizing support for poverty-reduction legislation.
• No prior experience necessary, just a passion for fighting poverty and righting wrongs.
• Represent The Borgen Project at events and meetings with government officials, business leaders, and community groups.
• Mobilize individuals to contact their members of government in support of poverty-reduction legislation.
• Develop a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
• Speak to groups, classes, and organizations about the importance of poverty reduction.
• Write letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media, and other groups.
The Borgen Project has 20 years of experience in advocacy, working to support the passage of numerous bills that have benefitted close to 500 million people in developing countries.
This is a remote internship, and you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks if your availability is limited.
You can choose the month you wish to start, and college credit is available.
